Episode Summary

Michael is happy because he has solved the problem with the lack of a family car. He sold the corporate jet, and decided to keep the stair car. Now Michael is one step closer to moving forward with the family business.

An activist named Johnny Bark stops Michael from developing more homes by staying up into a tree that needed to be cut down. Michael asks Lindsay to help him out by getting Johnny out of the tree. Instead, Lindsay decides to protest as well.

Gob is feeling confined in his relationship with Spanish soap opera star, Marta Estrella. In one of Marta's interviews, Gob announces that he will go to prison, in a magic illusion, and break out the next day.

In prison, Gob finds himself out of place. His father further neglects him and the prisoners don't seem to like him very much. Meanwhile, Gob makes his brother Michael take his girlfriend to a Spanish awards show. Throughout the night, Michael, realizing that he and Marta both share the same values, finds that he likes Marta. Buster accidently flirts with his mother's best friend, Lucille Austero, and a chip table.

Gob has difficulty escaping prison and asks Michael to help him out by bringing the stair car. Michael visits him in hopes of getting his permission to ask Marta out. Crushed, Gob realizes that he will not be able to perform the illusion. His father cheers him up by playing catch with him. Gob's first game of catch with his father is cut short when he is stabbed by a prisoner named White Power Bill.

After awaking in the hospital, Gob is convinced that he fulfilled the illusion. Michael decides to give up his chance with Marta for his brother's sake.

Michael: Life is short. Listen to me. I would give anything to have that again. You know, a family; nothing else matters.
Lucille: [enters the house] Michael!
Michael: It's mom, hide!

Lindsay: I care deeply for nature.
Michael: You're wearing ostrich skin boots.
Lindsay: Well I don't care about ostriches.

Lindsay: I appreciate what you're doing for the environment, but we're not the only ones who destroy trees. What about beavers? You call yourself an environmentalist, why don't you go out and club some beavers?
Johnny Bark: You don't really get nature, do you?

Gob: I've made a huge mistake.

Lucille: I'll be at the hospital bar.
Michael: Uh, you know there isn't a hospital bar.
Lucille: This is why people hate hospitals. [laughs]
[Lucille laughs hysterically down the hall]
