Michael is discovering that working with his father in jail to try to save the company might be more than he bargained for. George refuses to hand over some flight records, and claims that he's having the time of his life in prison.
George Michael has been struggling to cope with having to move in with his cousin, Maeby. Hoping to avoid his cousin, George Michael asks his father if he could work more hours in the banana stand. Michael, being impressed, promotes him to Manager and gives him permission to hire an employee of his choice. He later retracts his offer to his son by forcing Maeby to work alongside her cousin to save her from the rest of the family's laziness.
Tobias searches for work by trying out for a part for a commercial. After completely ruined his shot at the job, Tobias' wife Lindsay accidently lands the role. Tobias is crushed.
When Michael learns that there is a secret storage unit that might contain the flight records, he devises a plan to lead his mother's housekeeper, Luz, to the storage unit. Michael follows her around town only to find that the unit has been burned down.
Michael approaches his father to find out if he was behind the arson. He discovers that George wants Michael to hire a convicted arsonist, T-Bone, to pay him back for a mysterious reason. Michael becomes angry with his father for trying to run the business from jail. He explains to George how he allowed his own son to run the banana stand on his own. George decides to get T-Bone a job at the banana stand.
George Michael decides the best course of action is to set fire to the banana stand after he and Maeby steal money from the stand. Maeby informs Michael, and he rushes down to stop his son. Michael decides to burn the stand down in order to show his father that he is in charge.
George is devastated to learn of the destruction of the banana stand. He explains to Michael that there was $250,000 dollars lining the walls of the stand. Convinced that the banana stand is the only profitable part of the company, Michael sets out to rebuild it. |
